this is me and tommy, we took these photos after church last Sunday. reason why we took this picture is because you all have to check out Tommy's hair! LOOK CAREFULLY...it's half down with gel, the other is without gel (: hahaha we hang out at his place last friday, we played poker and he lost. so this was his punishment!!! whose idea was it? definitely not me, it's his roomate David that sugguested that!
this is a snapshot few weeks back when i came back from walmart on the bus. well, the airplanes gives such sweet surprises. this was a sweet evening for me(: the airplane drew U+God=(: and LOVE GOD (: isn't this cool? well, i never seen that back in Singpore.
enough of all the snapshot, i'm really too busy in work recently, i sleep wake up and work. life is basically like that. but church make my life more fun..let's talk about work! i really enjoy working!! i get to meet people frm all over the world. really,speakin so many different language. i'm learning spanish from my friends, it's the fun part of working here. meeting people from all over the world is the reason why i love to be in the Hospitality Industry. of cos the hours are very funny, like i work till midnights, if i end at 11pm,i'm very very happy. haha sadly,i fell sick on thursday, i pushed myself through workin 11 hours, it's really giving my best to the guest from my heart even though i'm really not well.
i miss mummy's cooking. i'm eatin instant rice or cup noodles everyday. breakfast is standard cereal. i miss digestives biscuit man, here it's too expensive. oh but thank God for the kind people i meet at work. i have 2 Korean Aunties that work there, they'll share their korean kimchi etc with me. whhoohoo..yummy!! also i was so blessed on thurs, i was sick and had to eat mac cos i didn't have time to do dinner, and this china friend-sophia gave me her dinner cos she was too full to eat. hehe it was RICE!! with chicken drumlet,potatoa and celery..i hate celery but it tasted sooo good that time! i miss home cooked food.
it's turning warm here, but it's dry still, sometimes i'll forget about applying moisturiser and the next time i'll realise my skin's all cracking. eww..haha but i'm enjoying summer, yeah! beach! hahaha yeah..
quite a few things happened these few weeks. like first thing,i finally settled into one church- Living Stone Community Church. i spend like US$55 on cab to get there. i sacrificed just to get there. but it was all worth it. i love the people i meet there, their visions all flow, and i know that this church goes far cos of the community life, the foundation etc.yeah this church is really God-given because i was asking God for a church that has nothing less than 1. Worldwide Vision 2. Lives accordin to the WOG closely 3.not just weekend christians,means God is in their lives kind..and that sunday's sermon, the pastor spoke abt these 3 things somehow in the sermon! i feel convicted but alot of things he mentioned. on that sunday, i know in my heart that the world's reaaaallly big. there's alllloooot more to be done for the KOG!! and God's really everywhere!i'm spiritually much more hungry here..i learn to appreciate the system we have in Hope.
the people i met in church are all Asian Americans, cos it is a Asian American Church. they are very family like and very nice to me. so CC and Tommy are the closet to my age like 20 plus? haha i hanged out with them pretty often. CC's like my closet friend. last sat we went clubbing and stayed over at her place then went church the next day. well...the clubbing experience was an eye opener for me. so well, i learnt alot here abt dealin with such things and how to protect myself. yeah...i'm excited to get to know more of them though...
oh and i moved apartment! yes. moved to the unit right opposite cos they had to renovate my old apt. so everythin has changed sides. feels weird at first but got used to it. it was horrible, had to move the entire house over. and my lake view is gone!!!sob sob!! i went for friday fellowship just now, was fun because i'm learning how to play volleyball, i love the dinner there cos it smells like home (rice,mix veg etc) and had some bible discussion, today's topic is abt relationship. i'm thankful to God for puttin these convictions in my heart abt BGR...yeah i'm convicted to make full use of my singlehood and wait for God's best.
reminder to christine--one life to live, soon it will pass..only what's done for Jesus will last. so this one life, i'll live it for Jesus!!
